Call for Abstracts

How to Submit
Authors are requested to submit their abstracts prepared in MS Word via Internet (URL: http://www.acplan.jp/barany2008/ ). Abstracts from non-Bárány Society members are also welcome. Those unable to complete the online submission, please contact the Organizing Secretariat, directly.

Instructions for Preparing Abstracts
1. The on-line system can only accept MS Word documents. Other documents will not be accepted.
2. The allotted space for an abstract is one page: effective space 17 cm (width) x 23 cm (height).
3. Please write your abstract following the guidelines shown in the sample abstract. You may download the sample from the website and overwrite on it.
 

Sample Abstract
4. When you complete the abstract, save it in the name of the presenting author. "MAC" users are requested to add ".doc" at the end of the file name. e.g. "ito.doc"
5. Click "On-line Abstract Submission" at URL: http://www.acplan.jp/barany2008/
6. Fill in the columns required on the abstract submission form, including preference of podium/poster presentations and appropriate topic number chosen from the 27 areas for Podium sessions and Poster sessions which best expresses the contents of your abstract.
7. Attach your abstract at the last section of the form.
8. Confirmation of receipt of abstract will be sent to the presenting author by e-mail.

Notification of Acceptance
Notice of acceptance will be e-mailed in late December, 2007. Accepted papers will be presented at Podium or Poster sessions. Abstracts accepted for the presentation will be printed and distributed to all participants during the Meeting.

Symposium and Podium Presentations
LCD projection will be available for Symposia and Podium Presentations.

Poster Presentation
Poster PanelPlease prepare your poster according to the following guidelines.
The poster will be mounted on a panel of 90 cm (width) x 150 cm (height). Please refer to the illustration.

Title: Use an area of 20-25 cm x 90 cm at the top of the poster for the title, authors' names and affiliations.
Text, Tables and Figures: All material should be visible from a distance of 2 meters. A poster number and pins will be provided by the organizer.

Language
The official language of the Meeting is English.
