Instructions for Abstract Submission
ICHC 2012 invites the submission of papers for the
poster presentation. Authors are requested to submit
their abstract(s) prepared in Microsoft Word via the
Internet.

1. Preparation instructions
Abstracts should be prepared using Microsoft Word. Please
download the template below and overwrite
your abstract on it.

Use standard A4 style paper (width
210 mm x height 297 mm). |
| b) |
Abstracts must fit on one page including the title,
author(s), affiliation(s) and the abstract text,
with the designated margins (30 mm top, 45 mm left/right,
110 mm bottom). The allotted space for an abstract
is 120 mm in width and 165 mm in height. Single
line space your text in single column format justified
at both sides. Approx. 250-300 words can be contained
in this space. |

Use 'Arial' or 'Helvetica' 11 point font typeface.
Do not use a smaller font since abstracts will be
reduced to 70% in size for printing. |
| d) |
Boldfaced font style should be used only for the
paper title, capitalizing the first letter of each
word. |
| e) |
Use a one line space between the title, author(s),
affiliation(s), and the abstract text. |
| f) |
Authors' names should be written in full to facilitate
indexing and avoid ambiguities. The presenting author's
name should be underlined. The presenting author's
e-mail address should be written. |
| g) |
Write the body of the abstract including 'Objectives',
'Methods', 'Results', 'Conclusion', etc. Each new
paragraph should be indented by 3 spaces. |
| h) |
No tables, figures, illustrations or photographs
can be included. |
| i) |
Edit abstracts carefully before submission. Abstracts
will be made available to congress participants
in the Program/Abstract Book as submitted - no substitutes
or editorial changes will be made. |
| j) |
Abstracts must be written and presented in English.
Linguistic accuracy is the responsibility of the
authors. |
| k) |
Once the abstract is completed, save it in the
name of the presenting author. 'MAC' users are requested
to add '.doc' at the end of the file name. |
2. Submission Procedures
After you have prepared your abstract according to the
instructions above, proceed to the Abstract
Submission page. There you will be asked to:

Enter the presenting author's contact
information. |
| b) |
Enter all authors' names including the presenting
author. |
| c) |
Select a topic category which expresses most properly
the content of your paper. |
| d) |
Please indicate your intention if you apply for
the Young Scientist Best Poster Award. |
| e) |
Enter the title of your abstract. |
| f) |
After providing and checking the above information,
attach your abstract at the last section of the
page. |
| g) |
Confirmation of receipt of abstract will be sent
to the presenting author by e-mail. If you do not
receive it, please contact the secretariat ( ). |
3. Notification of Acceptance
Notice of acceptance will be e-mailed in mid-May,
2012 to the presenting author.
4. Poster Awards
Two kinds of poster award will be given for distinguished
posters.

Young Scientist Best Poster Award
Three posters will be awarded.
Age limit of applicants: 35 years old as of August
26, 2012 |
| b) |
Best Picture Award
Applicable to all ages. |
Those who wish to apply for the Young Scientist Best
Poster Award, should please indicate to that effect
when sending their abstract. The Best Picture Award
will be selected by the organizing committee from all
posters presented during the Congress and no application
is necessary.
5. Guideline for Poster Presentation
Poster Preparation
Please
prepare your poster according to the following guidelines.
Size of panel
90 cm in width and 150 cm in height.
Please prepare your poster material in advance which
does not exceed this size.
Title, authors names and affiliation
Use a space of 90 cm in width and 20-25cm in height.
Text
All materials should be visible from a distance of two
meters.
Mounting
Poster numbers and pins will be supplied by the organizer.
Poster Presentation

Speakers are requested to register
at the Poster Reception Desk. |
| b) |
Posters should be mounted, presented and removed
according to the following schedule. Poster presentation
speakers are requested to be at the site of the
posters at the designated time to answer questions
from participants. The poster sessions will not
be chaired.

Presenters are requested to please be sure not
to forget to take posters down. Posters that remain
after the designated removal time will be disposed
of at the discretion of the secretariat. |
