Excursion

Tour fee:	¥ 8,500 (includes lunch)

There will be an excursion in the afternoon of Wednesday, September 4 in hopes that Thermophiles 2019 participants will enjoy and deepen their understanding of Fukuoka, Japan. To make a reservation for the excursion, please proceed to the "On-line hotel and excursion application" page. Deadline of excursion application: August 19, 2019.

All-you-can-eat lamb barbecue called Genghis Khan with freshly brewed beer.

Tour

You will be guided to the entire beer production process from barley-mashing to packaging. Here you have a chance to actually touch barley and hops, the primary ingredients of beer.
You can also enjoy tasting of beer in an open-area tasting room.

Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine

Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine The shrine is dedicated to Sugawara Michizane who is known as the god of learning, it is busy all through the year with a lot of visitors praying for success in exams and academic achievement.
6000 plum trees are planted on the site and bloom beautifully around early February to March.
The approach of the temple is always busy with many stalls selling popular local specialties such as Umegae-mochi (sweet rice cake), Gokaku Chikuwa with kanji characters meaning success burnt on the surface and Usonomochi (sweet rice cake packed with a small bird of lucky charm).
